Whirlwind...

The best word to describe our end of June and beginning of July is whirlwind. For three Fridays in a row, we left our house in the morning (with Kenai in the capable hands of our teenage neighbor), went to work, piled into the car late in the afternoon and made our way to the airport. Let's just say we got to know the folks at Wally Park quite well!

Three weekends, three cities and three airlines later, we had showered baby Johnson and celebrated Chris' 30th birthday in Boise (see Ali's post about the weekend), spent a fabulous weekend in LA with our college friends to share in Lisa and John's nuptials and made our way back to SCU (after 9 months away from the Bay Area) for the marriage of Julianne and Steve. As you all know, we keep ourselves pretty busy, but at 6+ months pregnant, our crazy travel schedule was almost too much for me! Here are some photos to prove it.

Visitors!

We welcomed our first visiting friends to our new house in mid-June. Becky kicked off her three weekend Kehrli-thon with a 24 hour trip to Seattle for a Mariners/Giants game at Safeco, and Adam, an extremely dedicated fan, flew up for all three games in the series! We went to the game Friday night as a group of four and joined Adam and some of his Santa Clara friends for another game on Sunday. It was my first Mariners game of the year and I made it to two in one weekend (may be the only two all season!) Crazy being at a Mariners games where there were more visiting team fans than those from the home team. Sad really... Regardless we had a great time showing off our hometown :)

Babymoon!

In late May, Bob and I escaped the winter-like Seattle weather for a babymoon in Kauai. He had never been and I had only been for a day as a kid on a cruise so we were both really excited to explore a new island. It was a perfect mix of the ideal Bob vacation (never ending activity - paddleboarding, sightseeing, driving around the island, etc.) and the ideal Lynsey vacation (laying by the pool, laying by the ocean and laying by the pool). We stayed on the north shore of the island - near the Napili Coast - and explored the local beaches...

We did some more snorkling at Tunnels Beach (no pictures of that - lucky you...)

Checked out Waimea Canyon (they call it the Grand Canyon of the Pacific) and various sights along the way...

Bob rented a paddleboard for a day and got pretty good at it! He was one happy boy :) While he paddleboarded I layed out on the beach and treated myself to a massage. Perfectly balanced day if you ask me!

We watched the sunset over Hanalei Bay and the Hanalei pier...

Overall, we had a great trip to Kauai and will definitely make a trip back!
